A naked guy in Florida used a machete to cut off another man’s hand. He then told police, “Is he dead?” According to the police, “I tried to kill him.”
According to a police report, the victim was found by police in Miami Gardens around 4 a.m. Monday with his hand cut off and heavy bleeding from his head.
A knife covered in blood was found nearby. Police say that around the time of the attack, witnesses saw Rhyant running away from the bloody scene while completely naked.
The victim told police about Tyrone Arthur Rhyant, 54, who they found relaxing on a sofa not far away, according to the report.
Police didn’t say why Rhyant did it, but they did say that his ex-wife, who has a protection order against him, lives nearby.
The person was taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital to get help. Rhyant is charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and domestic violence/violation of an order.
At the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, he is being held without release.
