Honk News– Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the boy’s mother discovered her kid’s and her husband’s remains in Florida. The authorities are now looking into the fatalities.
Authorities in Lutz, Florida, think that a 44-year-old man named Terry Bivens, Jr. and his 5-year-old son, Jackson Bivens, committed suicide in their house. This was announced by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The identities of the deceased were confirmed to by the Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, November 29, the sheriff’s office was contacted by Jackson’s mother, who stated that she had been unable to reach Terry and Jackson; hence, the inquiry commenced.
According to Hillsborough County Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer, the lady contacted authorities at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday, detailing her situation: “I’m here to pick up my son, but no one’s answering the door, and he’s not answering the phone.” This woman was reportedly separated from Terry.
According to Maurer, deputies who were doing a wellness check discovered Terry’s car in the driveway and the door to the residence shut.
Maurer stated that during their initial visit at approximately 7:53 a.m., they did not observe any “nefarious activity” or “signs of foul play.”
According to Maurer, the distraught mother gained entry to the house at about 9:30 in the morning and discovered the bodies of her son and father inside.
Both victims succumbed to gunshot wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The police have been tight-lipped about the time they think the murder-suicide occurred. Because the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office chose not to respond when asked if the murder had anything to do with a potential custody dispute.
While doing their initial check of the residence, Maurer informed the briefing that the police did not uncover any suicide notes.
