Fishermen off the coast of Alaska found what appears to be a big Chinese Spy Balloon

According to a US official who spoke to CBS News on Friday, fishermen have found what seems to be “a pretty big balloon” off the Alaskan shore.

Officials are taking pictures of the object to help identify it, but they won’t know for sure what it is until the balloon reaches port, the source added.

The official made it clear that the United States military did not shoot down the balloon. We do not know what led to the discovery of the balloon or its precise position.

The United States had sightings of what seemed to be a Chinese spy balloon flying high over the country in January 2023; a fighter jet from the United States intercepted and shot down the balloon near South Carolina’s coast. Government officials allege that the balloon had high-tech technology capable of collecting communications signals and other confidential data.

On the other hand, China claimed that the balloon was actually a weather satellite that had lost its way. In the weeks that followed, fighter planes over Canada and the United States shot down multiple UFOs.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command disclosed its surveillance of an additional high-altitude balloon above the Western United States towards the end of last month. The next day, NORAD announced that the item was a hobbyist’s balloon and did not constitute a danger to the country’s security.
