An employee at a daycare center was taken into custody by Cumberland County deputies last week on suspicion of child abuse.
Fayetteville resident Pamela Morris, who is 63 years old, has been charged with misdemeanor child abuse. Her arrest took place on August 23 by deputies.
Based on the information provided by the sheriff’s office, Morris was working at Ms. Carolyn’s Child Care Center, which is located on Cumberland Creek Drive.
The daycare was the location where the alleged incident took place, according to the sheriff’s office.
Whether or not she is still working at the daycare, Morris would not disclose this information to the sheriff’s office.
