As per the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, Quadriel Forest, 32, started mistreating the victim at the tender age of 4.
The abuse occurred in Dallas and McKinney and persisted until the victim reached the age of 9. That’s when the child confided in a school counselor about an incident that occurred the previous night.
Forensic investigators with specialized training conducted interviews with the child and collected DNA samples. During the investigation, authorities discovered traces of Forest’s semen on the walls of the victim’s room.
Forest attempted to justify the presence of his semen on the child’s walls by explaining that he had engaged in self-pleasure in the room. However, the prosecution stated that he was unable to explain the presence of his DNA on the child’s inner thighs.
Forest has been convicted by jurors for the ongoing sexual abuse of a child and has been handed a 50-year prison sentence.
A child’s bravery in confiding in a trusted adult led to the revelation of crucial evidence in court, shedding light on years of abuse. Collin County DA Greg Willis expressed his gratitude to the school staff, CPS, law enforcement, prosecutors, and jurors for their collaborative efforts in securing a 50-year sentence without parole for the child’s predator.
Forest could have potentially received a sentence ranging from 25 years to life.
According to the law, he is not eligible for parole.
