An individual from Bull Shoals was taken into custody by the Arkansas State Police after they alleged that he had engaged in an explicit sexual conversation with a juvenile.
According to a press statement issued by the Alabama State Police, on Wednesday, August 28, ASP Special Agents with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence located in Bull Shoals. This action was taken in response to a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
“During the investigation, agents found the suspect, Kenzie Parnell, 63, of Bull Shoals, had initiated a graphic sexual chat with a 16-year-old girl. Parnell continued regular sexual chats with the girl for approximately two months. Nude images were requested by and sent to Parnell, and Parnell sent unsolicited nude photos to her,” ASP said in a Thursday news release.
It was on Thursday, September 5th, when Parnell was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Detention Center.
An accusation of internet exploitation of a child and possession of material relating to the sexual abuse of children was brought against Parnell.
His bond was set at seventy-five thousand dollars.
If found guilty, Parnell faces a prison sentence that ranges from ten to forty years or maybe life.
