Connecticut Doctor Molested Child Patient under His Care; Arrested and Charged by Authorities

A physician from Norwich is currently facing charges of sexual assault in the fourth degree as well as harm to a minor. The charges are filed following his surrender to the authorities.

An investigation provided authorities with sufficient probable cause to issue an arrest warrant, and on June 28th, Dr. Ravi Prakash, who practices at Prakash Pediatrics in Norwich, turned himself into the authorities.

At the beginning of the month of May, the Norwich Police Department received an allegation of sexual assault committed by Prakash and immediately launched an investigation.

On the website of his practice, it is said that “Dr. Prakash has 27 years of experience in pediatric practice, including 20 years caring for children here in Norwich, Connecticut. With such an established record of excellence, you can be sure that your kids are in experienced, capable hands.”

In exchange for a bond of $50,000, he was released as reported by WTNH News.

On July 11, Prakash is set to arrive at the Norwich Superior Court for his scheduled appearance.
