BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Two people died following a crash Wednesday morning in an area southeast of Tehachapi, officials said.
California Highway Patrol officers from the Mojave Area responded to the deadly four-vehicle pileup on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, just north of Oak Creek Road, southeast of Tehachapi at around 7:25 a.m.
Officers said a 27-year-old driving a Ford F-550 southbound on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road collided with a 51-year-old man traveling northbound on the same road, in a GMC 3500.
A Honda CRV and Chevrolet 2500 pickup traveling northbound, behind the GMC 3500, crashed into the truck as well, killing the driver and passenger of the Honda CRV.
The victims will be identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office at a later time.
