A mother in Central Florida has been taken into custody for child abuse after reportedly slamming her baby into a crib and using excessive force to restrain him on several occasions.
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office were called to Brandon Regional Hospital close to Tampa on September 15th to investigate an 18-month-old baby who had sustained multiple injuries. The child had wounds on the face, neck, and arm, along with bruising behind the ear and on the right thigh.
Detectives uncovered that 27-year-old Alexis Hardacre violently slammed the baby into a crib and used excessive force to restrain him on several occasions.

The individual confessed to inflicting harm, explaining that she became frustrated when the infant would not settle down for a nap.
“This case is gut-wrenching. No child should ever endure the pain and suffering inflicted on this innocent baby,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We will always protect the most vulnerable members of our community and ensure those who harm them are held accountable.”
On November 18th, Hardacre faced arrest and was charged with a single count of Child Abuse.
Local law enforcement reports that this case is still active and ongoing.
