  • You filed the California tax return by October 15, 2023
  • You lived in California for more than half of the 2023 tax year.
  • Your AGI (adjusted gross income) in California is $75,000 or less.
  • It is necessary to have a valid Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
  • Another taxpayer has not mentioned you as a dependent.

For the $2,600 payment in 2024, you must also have received at least one of the California stimulus payments in 2023. You may be able to get a $1,200 payment in 2024 even if you have never gotten one before. It depends on how much money you make and how you file your taxes.
