Lindsay Lohan’s Father in Jail after Assaulting Estranged Wife in Texas; Faces Domestic Violence Charges

Honk News (Harris County, TX) – Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s father, has been arrested for assault following an incident where he reportedly flipped Kate Major out of her chair.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) confirmed through email that Michael’s estranged wife, Kate Major, was at a medical appointment on Friday, Feb. 21, when she saw Michael, 64, in the parking lot of the building. A 911 call was made because she was worried that he was following her, according to the email.

Major, 42, reported to deputies that Michael had “flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier,” and HCSO verified that a female deputy noted bruising on Major’s body.

Officials reported that they reached Michael at his home that day, and he was taken into custody without any issues. Michael faces a charge of Continuous Family Violence and has a bond set at $30,000, according to HCSO.

In 2020, Michael faced arrest for an alleged assault on Major in Southhampton, N.Y. A police statement indicated that he became “verbally and physically abusive to the other party” at a residence in the community.

Michael and Major tied the knot in 2014, following their engagement in 2010. In 2018, Major initiated divorce proceedings and sought sole custody of their two sons, Landon and Logan.

She filed the paperwork a month after her arrest for reportedly throwing a candle at Michael, which resulted in a cut on his arm. Prosecutors in Florida decided not to file charges due to a lack of sufficient evidence.

Michael was married to Dina Lohan for a period spanning from 1985 to 2007. Lindsay, 38, has children with her partner: Michael Lohan Jr., 37, Aliana, 31, and Dakota, 28.
