Honk News (Kent County, MI) – Footage from Kent County, Michigan, captures a mother expressing her deep frustration to an investigator, feeling as though her family is being treated “like we’re animals.”
Olivia Elizabeth Miller has recently entered a no-contest plea to involuntary manslaughter, resulting in a one-year prison sentence, of which she has already served 246 days, for the tragic death of her 8-month-old son, Asher Johnson. A tragic incident occurred when the infant was left unattended in a bathtub for approximately 20 minutes, resulting in her death.
Officials have reported that she provided inconsistent accounts regarding the circumstances surrounding her son’s death. Data from her cellphone indicated that she was actively using her device, taking only an 18-second pause, during the 21 minutes leading up to her call to emergency services.

According to authorities, Approximately four minutes before the call, she reportedly sent her father a message regarding Asher’s nap.
Miller expressed that this experience would haunt her with nightmares for the rest of her life.
“I can’t bring back my son.”
“I don’t believe in Heaven and stuff,” she said, “but I don’t believe that it was his time.”
“I don’t believe that either,” said the investigator. “It’s never a good time.”
“He was supposed to grow up,” Miller said.
