Mother Arrested in Greenville for Feeding Cow’s Milk, Infant Suffers Skull Fracture

Honk News (January 2025) – A woman from Greenville has been taken into custody for child abuse, as officials report that her negligence resulted in her 10-month-old child sustaining a fractured skull injury.

On November 20, 2024, a warrant for the arrest of 25-year-old Ty-Tionaha Daceus from Greenville was issued by the Greenville Police Department.

Daceus did not provide her infant with breast milk or formula, opting instead for cow’s milk, which led to dangerously low sodium levels and potential long-term deficiencies, as stated in a police report.

According to the warrants, Daceus neglected to ensure a safe environment for the 10-month-old by failing to provide a crib and not arranging for regular medical care for her child. The warrant indicates that the infant suffered a fractured skull injury as a result.

The offenses are recorded as occurring on October 1, 2024.
