State Police reported an incident at a Lancaster County restaurant where a young child was nearly abducted by a woman on Thursday morning.
According to the charging documents, Lisa Rossi, 59, of East Earl, claimed to have had a “vision” that prompted her to enter the establishment and attempt to take the four-year-old boy, as reported by State Police.
As per a criminal complaint, the incident occurred at the Terre Hill Family Restaurant around 8:46 a.m. According to State Police, a woman, later identified as Rossi, allegedly took hold of the boy and attempted to leave with him.
Upon reaching the restaurant, the State Police were informed by the mother that she witnessed Rossi embracing the boy tightly, causing him to cry upon her return from the kitchen. According to State Police charges, despite being punched in the face, she bravely intercepted Rossi at the front doors and managed to rescue the child from his grasp.

After successfully removing the boy from the scene, Rossi swiftly drove away in her car, traveling in the westward direction along Main Street, as indicated by the charging documents.
Surveillance footage from the business recorded the incident, allowing State Police to gather witness statements. State Police located Rossi’s address using information from PennDOT records.
Rossi is being charged with serious crimes including kidnapping a minor, interference with custody of children, unlawful restraint of a minor, and false imprisonment. She is also being charged with a misdemeanor for assault.
