According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a crash in Hillsborough County on Saturday morning resulted in two injuries and the unfortunate loss of an unborn child.
A 57-year-old Valrico man was driving a Toyota Venza east on SR-574 around 7:13 a.m., according to officials. According to FHP, a 35-year-old man from Plant City was riding a Suzuki motorcycle east on SR-574 and came to a stop at the intersection of Sydney Dover Road due to a red traffic signal.
The Toyota failed to stop after reaching the motorcycle, according to troopers. Authorities have confirmed that the Valrico man emerged unharmed from the crash.
According to officials, a 56-year-old woman from Valrico who was riding in the Toyota also escaped injury.
According to FHP, the motorcyclist sustained only minor injuries, while a 37-year-old woman from Plant City, who was also on the motorcycle, had injuries that were not life-threatening.
A pregnant woman was transported to the hospital, where tragically, her unborn child passed away, as reported by troopers.
