2-year-old Molested more than 200 Times in Texas; Sent behind Bars after Conviction

The conviction of a Winnsboro man for the ongoing sexual assault of a small child by a Wood County jury resulted in the man being sentenced to life in prison on Thursday with the possibility of parole.

Earlier this week, on Thursday, Justin Blaine Sicard was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. This comes after he was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Hopkins County in 2018.

“A conviction for continuous sexual abuse of a young child and the imposition of a life sentence prohibits Sicard from ever being released from prison on parole,” the Wood County Criminal District Attorney’s Office said.

The year 2019 marked the beginning of an inquiry into Sicard, who is suspected of sexually abusing a kid in Winnsboro during the months of January 2013 and December 2016.

During the period of time between the ages of 8 and 11, the child disclosed to the Child Advocacy Centre that Sicard had sexually attacked her and sexually abused her more than one hundred times.

In the year 2020, the kid, who was 15 years old at the time, once again expressed her outrage upon discovering that Sicard had been sending her sexually graphic and explicit messages on social media, in which he admitted to having sexually abused her.

“During the punishment phase of the trial, the evidence showed that Sicard began sexually abusing the child when she was 2 years old, and the total number of acts of abuse was more than 200,” the DA said.

It was stated by the District Attorney’s Office that they are grateful for the result that the jury reached and the sentence that was handed down.
