Atlanta, GA: A man whose mother claims was fleeing gun violence in California was fatally murdered over spinach and oregano. Sanifu Henry, 21, was shot and killed on McGuire Drive early Friday morning as per the Kennesaw police.
The family is still trying to come to terms with Henry’s unexpected death, his mother Mary Mathis said in an online fundraising.
Henry attempted to flee the gun violence in Los Angeles, according to Mathis, and moved to Atlanta. Her son was “called home” by God, she wrote. To anyone who crossed his path, he showed unwavering care and protection.
The inquiry has determined that Henry was murdered while attempting a robbery. The robbers were arrested by the authorities and were identified as Zier Green and Re’Shard Lee.

After their arrest, Green and Lee confessed to authorities that they had driven to the area to sell narcotics. According to the police, the suspects were found with marijuana and non-controlled substances that looked like spinach leaves and oregano.
Some people are saying that the man was trying to buy some weed but got scammed by the weed suppliers. He then becomes involved in a physical altercation that transformed into a shooting. Henry was shot as he was trying to get his money back.
To this day, authorities have not yet identified the shooter responsible for Henry’s death.
Both Green and Lee are now facing murder accusations and will be arraigned in court.
