Maryland Man Arrested after He Dragged Deputy in a Stolen Car in Annapolis

Annapolis, MD: An individual was apprehended for reportedly pulling an Anne Arundel County Police officer with a vehicle using stolen registration plates in Annapolis on Wednesday.

T’reiko E’sean Medley, 24, was apprehended in Baltimore on Thursday.

The automobile was sighted by an officer at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The police reported that the vehicle entered the Liberty petrol station on West Street in Annapolis. The driver then exited the automobile and went into the store.

The officer parked behind the vehicle, and the driver returned from the store and reentered the automobile, according to the police. As the police neared the vehicle, the driver reversed and hit the officer with the driver’s side door.

The cop was pulled by the perpetrator for a few feet before falling on the ground, as reported by the police. The culprit fled the scene after colliding with a parked vehicle. The automobile was observed traveling rapidly northbound on Generals Highway towards I-97.

Police maintained their efforts to apprehend the man until Thursday morning when he was found on Gulfport Drive in Baltimore. The cop sustained minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital.
