71-year-old Man Struck with Baseball Bat in Queens Parking Dispute, Suspect Arrested by NYPD

During a fight over a parking space in Queens on Wednesday night, a bully beat an old guy with a baseball bat, according to police sources.

Around 6:50 p.m., according to authorities and witnesses, Michael Magill, 51, and a 72-year-old man got into a fight about parking at the Forest Hills residential intersection of Austin Street and 77th Avenue.

The reports claim that Magill struck the elder in the head with the bat, igniting a heated altercation.

According to police and sources, the elderly man was treated for a bump on his head at the scene and was described as being in stable condition.

Magill, who resides a few streets from the location of the altercation, was taken into custody there and charged with assault on a victim who is 65 years of age or older, a felony, according to the police.

The brutal crime occurred a few weeks after two ruthless assailants killed a Bronx fruit vendor with a baseball bat, ostensibly without any provocation, according to informants and officials.
