Salt Lake City, UT: The Law Enforcement authorities conducted a multi-agency operation that resulted in the arrest of a man and the seizure of a number of narcotics, including about 7,000 fentanyl tablets, 12 ounces of heroin, and four ounces of methamphetamine, as stated in the arrest paperwork from the Third District Court.
On March 18, a 41-year-old man named Vicente Guerrero Gutierrez was taken into custody on four separate counts of possessing a controlled substance with the intent to distribute an illegal substance.
An investigation into a drug trafficking network was initiated in January, as stated in the paperwork pertaining to the arrest. This investigation involved the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Davis Metro Narcotic Strike Force, which the documents referred to as “collectively the Wasatch Metro Drug Task Force.”
During the course of the inquiry, a drug trafficking organization and the individuals who were affiliated with it were being investigated. Gutierrez was recognized as a distributor for the organization by use of controlled purchases that were carried out by an independent source.
On the 18th of March, law enforcement officers secured a search warrant for Gutierrez’s residence and arrested him as he was leaving the residence.
According to the affidavit, “multiple individuals who were not related to each other were detained at the residence.”

The individuals who were arrested provided the officers with information regarding the room that belonged to Gutierrez. It was in that room that the investigators discovered the 7,000 fentanyl pills, four ounces of meth, 12 ounces of heroin, and cocaine that had been “packaged for distribution,” as stated in the records issued by the authorities.
According to the affidavit, all of the controlled narcotics that were found in the bedroom were packaged in a manner that required them to be distributed in “distributable amounts.”
According to the documents, Gutierrez disclosed that he had sold the narcotics. Additionally, he stated that he had the intention of selling the controlled narcotics that were found in his room prior to the incident.
On Monday, Gutierrez was taken into custody and lodged into the Salt Lake County Jail.
