70-year-old Robbed and Tied in House; 3 Arrested in West Virginia for Kidnapping and Robbery

Charleston, WV- The kidnapping of an old man has resulted in the arrest of three individuals, according to the troopers who investigated the case.

Johnny Simms, who was 70 years old at the time, was reportedly kidnapped, beaten, and robbed on Thursday, July 18. The West Virginia State Police received a complaint about this incident.

During the course of the inquiry, it was determined that Lataura Jarrett, 32, Wesley Taylor, 32, and Johnathan Cales, 24, all from the Meadow Bridge area had kidnapped Simms.

They then took him to an abandoned property on Redden Hollow Road in Summers County, where they badly abused Simms and stole his money. The three suspects then left Simms at the residence, where he was tied up and left without any assistance.
