2-year-old Beaten to Death by Father’s Girlfriend; Child Found Severely Bruised when Rushed to Hospital in Pennsylvania

A woman from Pennsylvania has been arrested for the death of her boyfriend’s 2-year-old son, following her online searches about how to eliminate bruises, as reported by law enforcement in the state.

Brianna Rufina Bloyer, 30, has been charged with homicide, as reported by the Fayette County District Attorney’s Office.

Officials claim the accused not only committed horrific acts of violence against the young child but also heartlessly abandoned him to perish afterward.

Bentlee Myers was tragically killed on August 16, as detailed in a criminal complaint.

In the early afternoon of the specified day, another adult came to Bloyer’s home on Old Lake Lynn Road in Springhill Township, a small community located just across the West Virginia border.

An adult discovered the child not responding.

It is also troubling that the individual discovered Bloyer knew about the boy’s condition yet did not contact 911, according to law enforcement claims.

The individual who called 911 remains unnamed in the complaint.

An adult informed emergency dispatchers that the child’s feet were elevated, his face had turned blue, and he seemed to be unresponsive, as stated in the complaint. Emergency personnel quickly transported the boy to a local hospital, but unfortunately, it was too late; medical staff declared him braindead, and Bentlee passed away from his injuries on Aug. 19.

Medical professionals found that the boy had multiple bruises and various internal injuries. The official cause of death was reported as “cardiac arrest due to head trauma.”

On the day of the tragic event, Bloyer reportedly informed investigators that the child had been in her care for about two weeks. The complaint states that the defendant reportedly claimed that when she awakened Bentlee that morning, he staggered and then fell.

Authorities searched the home and seized Bloyer’s phone. Authorities reportedly discovered a search from August 16 on the device: “how to get someone to come to when you pass out.”

Police allege that further incriminating Google searches occurred between August 8 and 9, such as: “why am I so much more angry while pregnant” and “what better to make bruises fade overnight.”

The father’s girlfriend reportedly searched for “homemade bruise cream” and seemed curious about the duration for carpet imprints on a face to disappear, looking up: “carpet imprint in face how long does it take to go away.”

Authorities verified that the woman’s phone did not make a 911 call on the day the deadly injuries occurred, as stated in the complaint.

When questioned about his son’s injuries, the father was unaware of the bruises, according to police reports. The father reportedly informed investigators that he observed his girlfriend feeling stressed and frustrated with the child.

Police report that a follow-up interview with Bloyer was set for September 25, but she reportedly did not attend. After the missed meeting and before her recent arrest, authorities reported sightings of the defendant’s car in Indiana and later in Arizona.

Bloyer is being held without bond at the Fayette County Jail.

The defendant is scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing on November 20.
