16-year-old Confessed that Woman Slept with Him; Suspect in Custody in California

A 23-year-old woman from Ridgecrest was taken into custody on allegations of engaging in sexual activity with a minor on South Downs Street on October 24.

A 23-year-old woman named Danielle Blough has been identified. She is currently on administrative leave from the Sierra Sands Unified School District since September 11 due to an unrelated incident. Authorities report that Blough has not visited a school campus since that time.

A parent informed the police department about allegations involving a paraprofessional and a sexual relationship with a minor.

Authorities discovered social media exchanges between Blough and a 16-year-old that corroborated the claims.

A 16-year-old has confessed to having consensual sexual encounters with a paraprofessional on several occasions, as reported by the police.

Authorities reported that Blough participated in a group chat with other minors and confirmed her relationship with the 16-year-old had lasted approximately three months.

Blough was taken into custody on allegations of engaging in illegal relations with a minor, attempting to contact a minor with sexual intentions, and unlawful relations with a minor where the age gap is greater than three years, as stated by the Ridgecrest Police Department.

Blough will appear in court on Tuesday.

Authorities are worried there could be more victims involved in this situation and urge anyone with further details to reach out to Det. Pietrangelo at 760-499-5113, Sgt. Groves at 760-499-5131, or the Ridgecrest Police Department at 760-499-5100.
