A 14-year-old girl’s body was found in the parking lot of a restaurant in Marion County, Tennessee, last fall. An autopsy by the state showed that she had been shot twice.
The autopsy revealed that the girl was 20 weeks pregnant when she died.
The victim was named Nahomi Hernandez by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
His body was found in the parking lot of a diner at 1200 West Main Street in Monteagle, west of Interstate 24, in the morning of October 8. The restaurant is at the top of Monteagle Mountain.
It was found that Hernandez had been shot twice, once in the chest and once in the thigh. Both times, the shots went all the way through her body.
The story also said Hernandez was 20 weeks pregnant when she died. According to the medical examiner, the fetus, which did not live, seemed to be fine and healthy.
News Channel9 got in touch with the TBI early Thursday morning. The spokesman replied by email, “The investigation is still active and ongoing.”
