A man has been sentenced to 30 years for bringing stuffed animals and morning-after pills to a 13-year-old girl he intended to meet for sexual purposes, as reported by the Department of Justice.
Tyler Colton Rock, 26, from Texas, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, along with a lifetime of supervised release, for coercing a teenager into sexual intercourse and transmitting explicit content to her.
Authorities reported that Rock initially connected with a 13-year-old girl from Pinellas County online when he was 25 years old.
The DOJ reported that he requested the girl to send explicit photos of herself while he shared multiple photos and videos of himself engaging in sexual acts.
While organizing a journey to Florida to see her, he remarked that it would either be “the best trip ever or he would find himself in federal prison, but he was looking forward to it.”
Rock traveled to Florida in February 2023 for inappropriate activities involving the child.
The DOJ reported that he arrived with a bag containing condoms, morning-after pills, and stuffed animals. The individual also supplied the girl with marijuana prior to participating in sexual activities with her.
On March 1, Rock pleaded guilty. The FBI conducted an investigation into this case.
