A woman from southeastern Wisconsin, referred to as “Pimpin’ Amanda,” has received a federal prison sentence for her involvement in the sex trafficking of several victims, including minors as young as 14, over a period of approximately 17 years.
On December 11, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that Colette A. Mahan, 41, from Milwaukee, has been sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for her involvement in sex trafficking.
Officials report that Mahan, referred to as Pimpin’ Amanda, has been involved in trafficking many female victims, some as young as 14, for over 17 years, employing a mix of deceitful promises, intimidation, and severe physical abuse. Despite having numerous previous arrests, officials indicate that this case represents her initial felony conviction and subsequent prison sentence.
Mahan is accused of committing crimes that spanned several states, reportedly forcing her victims to seek sex dates at various locations including strip clubs, hotels, bars, casinos, and streets in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Mahan allegedly insisted that the victims hand over all that they had ‘earned.’
At the sentencing hearing, Judge Brett H. Ludwig emphasized the severity of Mahan’s crimes, detailing how he coerced young women and girls into selling themselves, with their suffering funding Mahan’s lavish lifestyle, including a Porsche.
Mahan pleaded guilty to a charge of sex trafficking involving force, fraud, and coercion on May 23.
Officials have urged anyone with details about Mahan’s role in sex trafficking to reach out at 414-276-4684.
