A criminal complaint has revealed troubling text conversations exchanged by a Wisconsin couple suspected of attempting to sexually assault the woman’s infant daughter.
Skyler Klassen, 22, was detained on April 9 after police in Madison, Wisconsin, allegedly discovered child sex abuse material on his phone, according to a criminal complaint. He was arrested on a warrant out of Nevada.
According to the complaint, police uncovered images of the infant’s exposed genitals as well as a video of the newborn being digitally penetrated. Klassen allegedly admitted to the abuse, which police say occurred on April 7.
According to the complaint, text conversations obtained on Klassen’s phone dating back to January purportedly suggest that he and the baby’s mother, Madison Bishop, 21, intended to sexually assault the 2-month-old before her birth.
The conversations allegedly show Bishop, who was arrested on April 15, inciting Klassen to conduct sexual abuse on her daughter. The two expressed horrific sexual fantasies involving the baby and shared child sexual abuse material from other sites, according to the lawsuit.
According to the complaint, Bishop also sent Klassen messages such as “I think a lot more people are into this than admit it tbh,,,if it was legal then a lot more people would I think” and “I’m so excited to raise a lil porn star.”
According to the complaint, Bishop is charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault and failing to protect a child.
Klassen was charged with one crime of first-degree sexual assault, but he also faces one count of incest, four counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and four counts of possession of child sex abuse material, according to the complaint. The lawsuit does not specify Klassen’s relationship with the youngster.
According to public court documents, Bishop’s preliminary hearing is planned for April 30. It is unknown when Klassen is scheduled to appear in court.
