WEST LAFAYETTE, IN — An arrest was made Thursday morning in West Lafayette for a 16-year-old boy who is suspected of beating his teacher.
Around 11 a.m. May 15, the student was sent to the hallway because he or she was acting up at the alternative school in the old Happy Hollow School in the 1200 block of Salisbury Street. Police say he refused to go to the office even though he was told to.
Police say the teacher told the boy to follow him as he walked to the office. Police say that when they got to the teacher’s room, the boy hit him with a laptop charging cord and pushed him down.
The police arrived and arrested the boy on charges of attack. Officers took the boy to a center for young offenders, cops said.
