Indianapolis, IN: Gun violence rocked an Indiana Waffle House on Monday, injuring at least five people.
A report of a shooting victim prompted the dispatch of police to the eatery in Indianapolis’ 2600 block of South Lynhurst Drive shortly after 12:30 in the morning.
The station reported that upon arrival, they discovered at least five individuals suffering from injuries that were consistent with gunshot wounds. Helicopters took one really ill patient to the hospital. As of this writing, we do not know how the other victims are doing.
Following last week’s horrific shooting that disrupted a parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, there have been fresh demands for stronger gun legislation, which has led to this incident. On Wednesday, six years after the massacre that murdered 14 students and 3 staff members at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018, a woman was among 22 casualties in a shooting that also wounded 22 others.
