Former emergency medical services worker accused of sexually abusing a woman while transporting her to the hospital.
Authorities have charged a former member of the EMS rescue squad with abusing a lady who was asleep in the back of an ambulance.
Former Flagler County Fire Rescue employee James Melady, 37, was the subject of an inquiry in Daytona Beach, Florida, when those authorities contacted the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on September 6.
The sheriff’s office reported that investigators had discovered video footage of Mealdy, while dressed in uniform, massaging the unconscious body of a 19-year-old woman.
According to the investigation by the Sheriff’s detectives, rescue squads were dispatched to the woman’s residence on October 17, 2021.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital, and it is stated that the abuse occurred during the ambulance ride.

The event and Melady’s actions were captured on camera, as Melady set up and moved the camera, according to an arrest warrant that the Palm Beach Observer acquired.
The woman denied knowing about the attack when she met with detectives from the sheriff’s office, the office said.
Two counts of video voyeurism against a victim 19 or older and sexual battery on a defenseless person were filed against Melady this week after his detention.
A bond has not been set for Melady while she remains in detention.
“It’s unfathomable to me what this predator did to an unconscious victim while on duty while being entrusted to provide proper emergency medical care but instead sexually assault her,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “I’m thankful we quickly got him off the street and in jail where he belongs. I also commend our Major Case Unit for their tireless effort to catch predators like this, and for working closely with our partners at the Daytona Beach Police Department to bring this pervert to justice. It is likely there are other victims of his disgusting behavior.”
