The highly anticipated first trailer for Paramount Pictures’ “Transformers One” has been released on YouTube and the studio’s social media platforms. Additionally, we know that the film will debut in theaters around the world beginning on September 13, 2024, as part of a phased rollout.
Based on this initial glimpse, “Transformers One” appears to be quite impressive. The tale reaches back to a time when Optimus Prime and Megatron have yet to acquire their iconic monikers. Instead, they are portrayed as youthful individuals named Orion Pax and D-16. They still haven’t figured out how to morph into cars.
“Trouble” here refers to venturing up to the forbidden surface, where transformers appear surprised to observe mechanized animals and what appears to be organic plant life. They are even more startled when an encounter with Alpha Trion (Laurence Fishburne) transforms them and allows them to refashion their bodies into vehicles that do not appear wholly alien in design.
Goofy humor have long been a staple of Paramount’s live-action Transformers films, but the tone in One’s trailer makes it obvious that it’s a film for youngsters that the studio hopes will convert into new fans.
Starring Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as D-16/Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, Keegan-Michael Key as B-127/Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, and Steve Buscemi in an unspecified capacity, “Transformers One” boasts an impressive ensemble of voice actors.
