ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A major traffic disruption hit Interstate 4 (I-4) early Tuesday morning after a vehicle overturned, prompting the closure of all westbound lanes, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

Authorities confirmed that the westbound lanes of I-4 in Orange County remain completely blocked as crews work to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. FDOT said traffic is being diverted at Exit 80 toward U.S. 441, where drivers can reconnect to the interstate via Conroy Road or Michigan Avenue.
The agency urged drivers to expect significant delays during the morning commute and to use alternate routes where possible.
“Motorists should remain patient, drive safely, and follow all detour signs as emergency personnel continue recovery operations,” FDOT stated in a public advisory.

Emergency responders and tow crews are currently on scene to remove the overturned vehicle and debris. While the cause of the accident has not yet been released, traffic officials report heavy congestion stretching for several miles.
