Three people are hurt when a car catches fire after a multi-car accident

Early Sunday morning, there was a crash on I-75 in Miami County that killed one person and took two others to the hospital.

Just after midnight, Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) were called to a crash on I-75 Southbound beyond SR 571 that involved more than one car.

Based on what we know so far, Andrew Romero, 26, from Moraine was driving a Ford northbound on I-75 when he had to slow down because of a crash that had happened earlier in the area.

A second car, driven by Tipp City resident Jennifer Korleski, 28, was going south behind Romero.

Korleski didn’t keep a safe distance ahead of Romero’s car, so he hit the back of it.

Romero’s car flipped over and went off the right side of the road, where it ended up on its side.

When Korleski’s car broke down, it came to a stop in the left lane and was then hit by a Jeep.

Officials from the OSHP say that troopers are looking into the Jeep accident separately.

Romero and the Jeep driver were taken to a hospital nearby. Information about their conditions was not known right away.

Korleski was declared dead at the scene of the crime.

Crews had to close I-75 for a few hours while they looked into what happened, but it is now open again.
