Plot of the Movie-
Melvin Smiley enjoys a nice life because to his abilities as a contract assassin, but he lives with a very working-class mentality, which is compounded by his ongoing efforts to sustain two love relationships. One is with the demanding and demeaning Chantel, who refuses to acknowledge his labor, and the other is with Pam, who has no idea what he does. Melvin is a bit of a pushover, striving to satisfy all of Chantel’s expectations, even the most extravagant ones, and rolling over anytime one of his coworkers takes credit for his accomplishments. Melvin is frequently shown taking Maalox to treat a growing stress-induced ulcer during the early scenes, maybe as a result of his powerlessness in exerting himself.
Feeling underappreciated for their work for mafia leader Paris, Smiley, Cisco, Crunch, Vince, and Gump embark on a solo task, kidnapping Keiko Nishi, the adolescent daughter of local electronics billionaire Jiro Nishi, for a large ransom. Unfortunately, the crew is unaware that Nishi has recently gone bankrupt due to his unsuccessful film venture, and that their employer Paris is the girl’s godfather. Melvin is forced to hide the tied and gagged schoolgirl on his property in order to keep her existence disguised from Pam and her parents, who are coming for supper.
