Texas Dad Set House on Fire with Three Kids Trapped inside House; Arrested, Kids Rescued by Firefighters

Fulshear, TX– A Texas father faces allegations from law enforcement for allegedly igniting a blaze in his residence with his three children still present inside.

A 46-year-old man, Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, faces serious charges including three counts of attempted murder and arson related to a fire that occurred on November 6 at his residence in the Polo Ranch area of Fulshear, located approximately 35 miles west of downtown Houston.

On December 12, Fulshear police released a statement on Facebook alleging that Parra Pulgar “intentionally set the blaze” at his residence while his three children were present inside.

Two 15-year-olds, as noted in court documents, were able to flee the flames with only minor injuries, while the youngest, a 3-year-old toddler, was left behind in the blaze.

Authorities accessed the residence via the bedroom window and rescued the child, who was experiencing “severe smoke inhalation.” A local hospital provided treatment to the child who was airlifted and has now been released, according to Fulshear Police.
