Tennessee Woman Assaulted with Brass Knuckles in Robbery; Police Looking for Suspects

Honk News (Memphis, TN) – A woman is healing from injuries to her eye and mouth that she sustained after she was attacked and stomped on during a robbery that took place outside a Walgreens in Midtown.

On January 9, at approximately 10:15 p.m., the victim reported to the police that she had left the store, which is located on the 1800 block of Union Avenue, and was assaulted from behind while she was walking to her car.

She stated that the thief hit her in the face with brass knuckles, and as she went to the ground, they took her cross-body purse.

The buddy added that the victim was traumatized by what happened and suffered two concussions, an eye injury that is hurting her vision, shattered ribs, a misaligned jaw, a broken tooth, and a sprained wrist.

According to the police, the woman was able to drive back to her workplace at the Renasant Convention Center following the heist, and a co-worker then transported her to the hospital.

The victim reported that her purse had around $40 in it. She was unable to see the suspect well.
