Tennessee Couple Arrested after They Burned their Child Multiple Times: CCSO

In Crockett County, Tennessee, two parents were taken into custody on Wednesday and face charges of child abuse, as officials allege they repeatedly inflicted burns on their child using an object.

Amanda Young, 33, and Jeremy Young, 42, face felony charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect. The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department announced that they will face a judge on Thursday.

An investigation confirmed the injuries with assistance from the Department of Children’s Services. Authorities stated that the child might need medical care to heal.

Crockett County officials described it as a case filled with deep feelings for their team.

The department stated in a release, “There is no shame in asking for help if a parent or caregiver feels overwhelmed when caring for their children.”
