Teen Knocked to Ground and Dragged to Car by Her Hair; Man Arrested in Oklahoma for Devastating Abuse

A man from Broken Arrow has been arrested and is currently being held in Tulsa County Jail on charges of child abuse.

The man is identified as Richard Harris and is a jailer in Broken Arrow.

According to court documents, an incident occurred on Aug. 4 involving Richard Harris and a teenage family member outside of a convenience store in Moore.

It is alleged that Harris became upset, resulting in him striking the teenager in the head multiple times, causing her to fall to the ground. He then proceeded to drag her to his car by her hair.

Broken Arrow Police have confirmed the arrest of Harris on Wednesday following the issuance of a felony warrant in Cleveland County.

The authorities have not revealed the identity of the teen involved and the reason for the argument and subsequent fight.

In addition, they have placed him on administrative leave and initiated an internal investigation.
