Teen Charged with Homicide Charges after 4 People were Shot Dead in Los Angeles Shooting

Los Angeles, CA: A 17-year-old individual has been charged with murder and other crimes in relation to shootings involving four people in southeast Los Angeles County. Prosecutors have alleged that one of the other defendants in the case is also accused of committing two further deaths.

Deair Fleming Delerence, the teenager, faced four counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder in juvenile court on February 11 and 12, for incidents that occurred over two days. This week in court, Delerence dismissed the criminal petition, which is analogous to submitting a not-guilty plea in juvenile court.
