A Spring Valley chiropractor without a license has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the disturbing crime of molesting children nearly a decade ago. This announcement was made by Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg on Thursday.
A 66-year-old man, Stuart Fraser White, who was working as a chiropractor without a license in Texas, has been sentenced by a judge. This comes after a jury found him guilty of super-aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of six. The 14-day jury trial concluded in December.
A 5-year-old female relative was found to have been abused by White at his home in Spring Valley, according to the jury’s verdict. In 2014, he was charged and arrested following the child’s disclosure of the abuse. Additional evidence was presented to the jurors regarding numerous prior incidents and victims who had come forward.
According to Ogg, it is our responsibility to ensure justice for our community’s most vulnerable victims – our children. When they suffer harm or abuse, particularly at the hands of someone they should trust, we must take action. A new law has been enacted by the legislature, ensuring that individuals who commit heinous crimes against young children will face a minimum of 25 years in prison, serving their sentence in full.
Following his conviction in December, White was confronted with the prospect of spending the rest of his life behind bars with no chance of release. The judge decided on a sentence that would keep White in prison until he is 91 years old.
Denise Nichols, the Assistant District Attorney in charge of the Crimes Against Children Division, was responsible for handling the case.
