An employee, a 15-year-old girl, was shot in the face by a lady who allegedly entered a Subway shop.
In North Carolina, Alisa Jewel Reed, 37, is incarcerated at the Cumberland County Detention Center on accusations of attempted first-degree murder. The girl was not identified by police in the town of Spring Lake, which is near Fayetteville. However, her mother is requesting assistance through a GoFundMe page because of her daughter’s protracted and difficult recuperation. The adolescent is “handicapped and permanently disabled.”
“My daughter literally has to relearn how to do some of the simple things that we take for granted every day, such as learning how to eat and walk again,” the mother wrote. “Due to the nature of her injuries, she will have to receive a few more surgeries and therapies, including but not limited to physical and occupational therapy, as well as mental health, due to this traumatic experience.”
According to Spring Lake police, the adolescent was hurt inside the Subway store on Murchison Road when they returned there on March 12 at around 5:00 p.m.
According to recordings that Raleigh NBC affiliate WRAL was able to obtain, one 911 caller said that the shooter, a client, had fired inside the business.
“I am at the Subway on Murchison Road, and I just saw a customer shoot into the building and shoot our 16-year-old manager in the face,” the caller said.
According to another caller, the girl was hit in the eye by the bullet.
“Information was provided that an altercation between employees and a customer resulted in the customer shooting the juvenile employee,” police wrote.
Police in Fayetteville took Reed into custody. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to contact Spring Lake police at 910-436-0350.
