Speeding Mustang Torn in Half After Violent and Fiery Crash in Houston

On Friday, a collision on the southwest side resulted in two individuals being taken to the hospital.

Authorities report that a driver in a Ford Mustang may have been exceeding the speed limit when attempting to change lanes, resulting in a loss of control in the northbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway feeder road close to Fondren Road around 1 p.m.

The vehicle subsequently collided with a concrete pole, resulting in it being severed in two. Footage captured by Air 11 revealed debris from vehicles scattered across the roadway and nearby locations.

The driver was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition, while the passenger was also taken to a nearby hospital and is in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed that the incident did not involve any additional vehicles.
