Six Persons Kidnapped Man and Viciously Beat Him with Baseball Bat; Arrested after Assault Lasted a Week in Ohio

Honk News (Toledo, OH) – Authorities in Lucas County have taken six individuals into custody, facing charges related to the reported abduction and assault of a man, as detailed in criminal complaints acquired by FOX 8.

Aaron Bradshaw, 49, Austin Bradshaw, 23, Chance Johnston, 27, David Cessna, 26, Martina Esqueda, 28, and Michael Esqueda, 28, face charges of kidnapping with the intent to instill fear or cause significant physical harm to another individual, according to documents from the Toledo Municipal Court.

Legal actions were also initiated in Maumee Municipal Court. Cessna faces charges related to domestic violence, while Johnston is charged with felonious assault. Martina has been charged with both felonious assault and domestic violence concerning harm to a family member.

Documents reveal that the individual was reportedly taken against their will on Friday, March 14, and was held for a duration of seven days. The victim reported to authorities that he was assaulted with a baseball bat and punches. He was allegedly permitted to eat and drink just once a day, forced to stand for extended durations, and managed to sleep for 10 hours during that period.

The circumstances surrounding how the victim, who reportedly sustained injuries across his body, managed to escape from his alleged abusers remain uncertain. However, he successfully provided a statement to law enforcement on Friday, March 21. Authorities have not disclosed the connection between the victim and the six other individuals involved.

Authorities have yet to identify the victim, and the investigation is still in progress.

Authorities took the defendants into custody on Saturday, and they are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
