Shooting Erupts at Boosie Badazz Concert in Ohio, Leaving Two Critically Injured

Ector County, TX (Honk News) – A shooting erupted at a Boosie Badazz event in Akron, Ohio, leaving two people gravely injured.

According to NBC station WKYC, citing an Akron Police Department report, a brawl broke out during the FieldHouse Lounge concert, and an unidentified male suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victims. “The suspect fled the scene after the shooting.”

Off-duty uniformed cops manning security at the concert requested assistance shortly after 2:00 a.m. local time.

WKYC and CBS affiliate WOIO said that two men, ages 18 and 36, were discovered with “apparent” gunshot wounds and rushed to the hospital in “critical condition.”

A third man, age 25, arrived to a local hospital with a “graze-gunshot injury.” The three men’s names have not been disclosed.

According to Akron Police Department Deputy Chief Michael Miller, the gunman is thought to have sneaked through a blind area with the firearm and fired at least one shot while the 42-year-old “Wipe Me Down” rapper was on stage.

Social media footage from the concert shows Boosie playing before hiding and fleeing off the stage after hearing a loud blast.

“The safety and well-being of our guests are always our top priority, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to prevent something like this from ever happening again.”

The event follows the August shooting at the outdoor concert “The Pull Up Car Show and Music Fest,” at which Boosie also performed.

The gunshot killed two Nebraska men, Marcus L. Johnson, 28, and Charles A. Williams Jr., 27, according to an Iowa Department of Public Safety statement.
