A 39-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Roseville that resulted in a barricaded scenario.
On Monday, April 21, Donald Richard Pickett allegedly shot two ladies at a home on Macel Street, just west of the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and 14 Mile Road.
One woman received multiple gunshot wounds to her leg, while the other was shot in the foot. According to authorities, one of the women informed police that the suspect was armed and was inside the home.
Pickett reportedly spent several hours locked inside the house before surrendering. He has been charged with two charges of assault with intent to murder, firearm possession, ammunition possession, and four counts of felony firearm. Bond was set at $1,000,000.
Pickett’s probable cause conference is planned for April 30. His preliminary examination is slated for May 7.
