Chicago Rapper Polo G Arrested in New York on Firearm Charges

New York City, NY: The New York Police Department arrested rapper Polo G at a hotel in Manhattan on gun charges.

According to the NYPD, he was taken into custody on Wednesday.

The authorities executed a search warrant at The Dominick Hotel in Manhattan. The officers allege that the Chicago-born rapper had a weapon and possessed a loaded firearm.

Rapper Polo G, whose real name is Taurus Bartlett, is 25 years old. He is known for his songs “Pop Out”, and “Finer Things” among many of his hit songs. He boasts a massive following on Instagram with 11 million followers.

As of Thursday morning, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office reported that he had not yet been arraigned in court.

In the previous year, he was taken into custody twice in the state of California on allegations of kidnapping, robbery, and assault, according to Rolling Stone.
