Tampa, FL: A rollover accident that occurred in Pinellas County earlier this year resulted in the death of a 71-year-old man. On Monday, a teenager from Safety Harbor was charged with vehicular homicide in connection with the incident.
According to the Clearwater Police Department, Tyler Graham, 19, was driving a 2010 Toyota Tacoma in a hazardous manner on January 26. He was speeding and changing lanes on United States Route 19 at Seville Boulevard when he collided with another car, causing it to flip over.
Stephen Douglas De-Meza, a resident of Dunedin, was a passenger in that vehicle, and according to the police, he passed away after being transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.
According to the statements that Graham made to the police officers after the collision, he had been traveling between 80 and 85 miles per hour because he was “rushing to get home between classes.”
The Pinellas County Jail accommodated the 19-year-old individual on Saturday, according to the Pinellas County Police Department.
