The Prairie Village Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery that happened during a Facebook marketplace sale, the department said in a news release.
Officers responded around 7 p.m. Monday to a residence in the 1900 block of West 56th Street in Mission Hills.
The resident was trying to sell a gaming computer to a person they met through Facebook Marketplace, according to a news release. After exchanging the item, a suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at the resident and told them to walk away, police said.
The suspect was a passenger in a gray Kia 4-door vehicle with an unknown license plate, the news release said. The vehicle left driving east toward State Line Road.
Police said there were at least two other people in the vehicle, and one may have been a female. No other information was available Tuesday.

The Prairie Village Police Department has a dedicated Safe Exchange Zone in the parking lot of the municipal complex at 7700 Mission Road. The zones are marked with green painted parking spots and is under 24/7 video surveillance, police said.
Police encourages the public to use the Safe Exchange Zones or go to a local police station when making sales transactions.
