Police Find 6 Shot and Burned Dead Bodies in Mojave Desert in San Bernardino

San Bernardino, CA: Six individuals tragically lost their lives this week in a secluded region of California’s Mojave Desert.

On January 23, at around 8:15 p.m., five bodies were found near Highway 395 in the community of El Mirage, located in San Bernardino County.

According to Rodriguez, the discovery of the sixth body was made on Wednesday morning.

The police have yet to disclose the identities of the deceased individuals or provide any information regarding the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

At the scene, two vehicles were discovered – one being a light-colored minivan and the other a dark-colored SUV. The SVU seemed to have been heavily damaged by gunfire. Several of the bodies appeared to have been charred.

“This is a very remote desert area,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Mara Rodriguez said at a press conference Wednesday. “And for that reason, the California Highway Patrol Aviation Division accompanied us to the call and were able to help us in locating the scene and the decedents.”
