Pennsylvania Man Accused of Sexually Abusing a Child; Lands in Custody

HUNTINGDON, Pa. (HN) — A man from Huntingdon has been taken into custody following accusations of sexually assaulting a four-year-old child.

Nicholas Roll, 32, faces several charges including aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors following revelations made by the girl to her mother and grandmother.

A criminal complaint reveals that the mother of the young girl contacted law enforcement after discovering what her child had disclosed in January. The young girl recounted to authorities that Roll would violate her, insisting that she needed to be “brave.” She went on to express to the investigator from Child and Youth Services that it was a negative experience for her when he acted that way.

Authorities reported that a medical examination of the girl revealed indications of sexual assault.

On Monday, February 24, Roll was taken into custody and is now held at Huntingdon County Prison, with bail established at $250,000.

A preliminary hearing has been set for March 5.
